Up for sale is an early 1970's (I believe) 32' Luhrs. It was my dad's who used it as a live aboard for the past few years. He passed away in January from cancer. The boat is documented, and the paperwork to transfer it will need to be done through an agency since it is in his name. I found a place in Newport Beach that is able to help with that. The boat is in running condition, but does need some TLC. There are termites in a few spots in the gunwales/walk around area of the boat, though everything still seems to be fairly solid structurally from what I can tell. The boat was last ran a few weeks ago, I took it to Catalina Island and back.
Powered by twin Perkin diesels with V-drive transmissions
2- 100 gallon main fuel tanks
2- 20-25 gallon auxiliary fuel tanks
Raymarine C-80 unit with Radar, GPS,and Sonar
Bait tank (approx. 40 gallon)
We cruised around 8 knots normally. Have had it to 12.5knots as well, but obviously burns more fuel, I do know recall the burn rates unfortunately.
The boat is stored at Cerritos Bahia Marina and the slip is transferrable on approved credit. The cost is currently $366,40/ month for the slip fees. There is a bridge that requires the tide to be lower for the boat to make it under currently, though adjustments can be made to make that less of an issue. Currently, the tide needs to be under 2.7'. We always planned our trips around the tide and had no problems.
